Cody AO50-DC Hitch especially designed for late 2009 & newer
1500 series Dodge PU w/Hydroformed Tubular frames & coiled rear
springs. It is especially important to physically inspect this
series to determine if it does in fact have coiled springs in
the rear. If it does not then AO38-150 adaptor plate
must be used in conjunction with AO50 Gooseneck Hitch. See
above paragraph. Capacity ratings of the AO50-DC Hitch ONLY
conform to the factory ratings of the 1500 series PU.
No-Drill adaptor plate is not necessary w/the AO50-DC Hitch.

2008 PU must physically check to determine if the tubular portion of
the frame extends approx 12” to 18” beyond the rear axle. This is
because GM changed their frame design on this vehicle in mid-year.

A050 is the basic hitch option for those who do NOT need an adaptor
kit for successful installation. If the vehicle you will be
installing the hitch in does NOT fall in one of the above-mentioned
categories, has the standard style straight frame, and you have 8"
of unobstructed frame space where the hitch can be installed either
directly above or slightly ahead of the rear axle, then this is the
choice you should make!
