You obviously have an interest in at least one of the Cody Hitch Products or you wouldn't be reading this. We thank you for that, but before you decide to purchase something here, we feel there are some things you should know. Cody Products are designed and built for many years of service to come, because, in most cases, they can be used over and over again. For example, the Universal Gooseneck Hitch is a telescoping hitch which allows it to be reinstalled on different truck models*. This becomes very important because you are buying an item that will give you important usage for many years, with "today's dollars". Just how important is this?? Many economists feel the "free spending" habits of the current U.S. Government will result in serious hyper-inflation later on. While this is only an opinion, it is one which we would hate to bet against. AND REMEMBER: Raw material in towing products consists mostly of steel, which is quite vulnerable to inflation. A secondary factor in the manufacturing of towing products is labor, which also exhibits the same characteristics. Yes, purchasing products with "today's dollars" may become a huge benefit, but there are others. To be sure, "free shipping" of the Cody Products is an important benefit, but it is a product of these uncertain economic times, and may not always be available. In addition, the current waiver on sales tax for items purchased on the Internet is a perk that may likely disappear when the scrambling begins to pay for the stimulus packages our Government is doling out. It is not our intent to be "totally negative" in our discussion. Our country has experienced bumps in the road before, and we have always, and we always will, be able to clear them.
